The BHAA is running a training programme for new coaches in the first half of 2025. At present we have more people wanting to learn horseback archery than the number of coaches who can teach this amazing sport.
The programme will include online training to cover the theory and then in-person training at a variety of locations across the UK.
Benefits for coaches:
– Work towards your horseback archery coaching qualifications from Club through to Advanced Horseback Archery Coach
– Learn how to teach archery with horse bows (a great, non-mounted activity)
– Learn the specifics of training horses and riders for horseback archery
– Learn how to put it all together and teach horseback archery
– It’s an amazing sport for horses and ponies of all shapes and sizes with options to compete in walk, trot and canter
– Opportunities for riders to train and compete abroad (on rented horses) in both Open and GB Team competitions: check out this video to learn more about Horseback Archery Eventing
