July's training update

July's training weekend will now only take place on Sunday only. See 'Upcoming Events' for further details.

GB vs. Sweden results

This weekend saw the inaugural BHAA International competition. The final scores were:

1st: Sweden - 423.43

2nd: GB - 319.72

3rd: GB 2nds - 162.43

Our congratulations to Sweden for their well deserved victory. Saturday saw the qabaq and Hungarian style events take place, and ended with Sweden leading by just 0.1 point. However, on Sunday, they proved the better team and during the Korean and Mamluk events pulled ahead to finish the competition with a clear victory.

Once again our congratulations to Sweden, and our thanks for coming and making this inaugural event a success.

FEG - update

More info on Forces Equine Games.... (Sat 4th - Sun 5th May)

The BHAA has been invited to participate in Forces Equine Games. This is a weekend long horse-show with show-jumping, dressage, cross-country, tentpegging and, yes, horseback archery classes! It is being arranged by Forces Equine, a non-profit organisation supporting equestrianism in the Army, Navy, RAF and Police Force - but most classes during the weekend are also open to civilians.

We are so excited to have this opportunity to showcase our sport to so many new people and on Sun 5th May are running both a Korean competition and an invitational Qabaq competition.
Details are all to be found via http://forcesequineevents.co.uk/ and more info is on the calendar and the BHAA FB page.

Not up to competing yet? Well don't miss out on the fun... Come and watch or help score!

Thanks to our class sponsors Tally Ho Farm and WA Designs for their support and providing prizes for 1st-3rd and rosettes for 1st-6th...

And I must mention the the whole show is in aid of Horseback UK - a great charity using western horsemanship and rural skills to support UK service personnel and veterans who have suffered physical injury or acute stress as a result of their commitment to their country. Take a look at their website
