ITV West recently ran a story on Neil Payne of the BHAA after his return from the European Championships in Germany. As the reporter was a rider she was coaxed into having a go. Hopefully the exposure will see a well needed upsurge in the interest in horseback archery not only in the West Country but in the UK as a whole!
The Tuba Archery Club in Croydon recently held a weekend training course at Neil Payne’s in Somerset. Despite the gale force winds, freezing temperatures, snow, rain and some sunshine at the end a good time was had by all. The organisers would like to thank Christian Schraude for coming all the way from Germany to lead the course. He did a fantastic job to satisfy the needs of both beginners and more experienced horseback archers. Below are some photos from the weekend.
We have added some movie clips now to the website. There are a lot more to come but this should give newcomers to the website a flavour of what horseback archery is and how it looks. At present there is only one clip from the meeting that was held in November 2007 showing our guest that day, Christian Schraude. There are a few more clips to be added; slowly over the coming months and years we will get more footage to add.
If you have any clips of your own, or favourites from You Tube, then let us know and we will add them.
